Introduction to Philosophy
This course offers students a practical exploration of philosophy, covering its main branches and key concepts in detail. Students will analyze the fundamental nature and major branches of philosophy, evaluating key contributions by major philosophers and core concepts in metaphysics and epistemology. The course covers logic, the philosophy of art, moral systems, social/political philosophy, and the application of theory to contemporary issues in bioethics, finance, and business.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will be able to analyze the fundamental nature and major branches of philosophy and apply the fundamentals of logic and methods of argument. They will be able to evaluate main ideas in value theory and moral systems, appraise various theories regarding the existence of God, and apply philosophical theory to assess contemporary issues in bioethics and the fields of finance and business.
