Natural Resources

This course is designed to introduce students to the diverse world of natural resources, covering biotic, abiotic, renewable, and nonrenewable types, along with their geographical distribution and applications. The curriculum examines the human impact on resources, essential natural cycles, environmental management techniques, and the exploration and utilization of minerals and fossil fuels. It also covers sustainable agriculture, wildlife management, and pertinent laws, providing practical knowledge for resource management.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will be able to evaluate the uses and environmental impact of natural resources and utilize industry tools and technologies to create management plans and solve resource-related problems. They will also be able to assess conservation and management solutions and evaluate the uses of renewable and nonrenewable energy sources, considering their environmental, social, and economic effects.
