Science 6
This integrated course explores the natural world through investigations and evidence. The curriculum covers a balanced mix of Earth and space science, physical science, and life science. Students will delve into topics ranging from matter and motion to ecosystems and weather patterns, using evidence to develop and analyze models. This course provides a strong, foundational understanding of core scientific practices.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion, students will be able to apply the scientific method, classify matter, and model atomic structures and energy states. They will also develop models of moon phases and the solar system, explain cyclic patterns of seasons and eclipses, and describe how water, wind, and uneven solar heating influence Earth’s surface and climate.

Students entering the 6th grade curriculum, students who need to build a strong foundation across multiple scientific disciplines, and students who want to develop essential scientific inquiry and evidence-based reasoning skills.
