Sometimes life presents a kid with difficult circumstances, which negatively impact their performance in a particular subject, or school in general. Maybe the teacher’s teaching style is ill-suited to their learning style, maybe life stresses result in their completely freezing up in the face of a particular subject, or maybe it’s something else. If a kid has the chance to try again, in a supportive and no-distraction environment, free from the stresses or mismatching that can happen in a typical classroom environment, then you can see what subject knowledge they are really capable of obtaining. My son was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to re-take a course at Spring Academy. His assessed knowledge level went from a D to an A. Most importantly, his sense of content understanding and mastery improved significantly, as did his confidence. We feel very fortunate he had the chance to work 1×1 to really learn the content and build a solid foundation for the rest of his maths education. I highly recommend Spring Academy.
