ACT English

This course is designed to hone the student’s rhetorical prowess, English language usage, and mechanical precision, drawing on the Plato Courseware and aligning with the 2016 ACT Test. Through a diverse array of lessons and activities, it aims to deepen the student’s comprehension and mastery of these crucial communication strategies, cultivating the student’s writing processes to effectively organize thoughts and craft well-structured arguments.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, the student will possess a refined ability to analyze both the literal and figurative dimensions of poetic language and construct compelling main ideas within academic writing. The student will gain proficiency in identifying and implementing key elements of speechwriting and learn to differentiate between expository, persuasive, and reflective essays, gaining practical experience in writing, revising, and editing academic papers.
