ACT Reading
This course is designed to align with the 2016 ACT Test, offering a comprehensive approach to enhancing reading comprehension across diverse selection types. Students will delve into various texts from social studies, natural sciences, literary narratives, and the humanities. The curriculum significantly improves reading proficiency through units structured to correspond with specific ACT test topics, providing a robust set of skills and understandings.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will explore the evolution of the English language, analyze conflict in informational texts, and investigate cause-and-effect relationships. They will understand the significance of Colonial literature and analyze rhetoric in US historical speeches. The course will hone abilities to incorporate evidence from informative essays, analyze structure and technical meanings, and evaluate both structure and reasoning within texts.
