ACT Science

This course is meticulously designed to align with the specific strands and topics evaluated on the ACT Science Reasoning Test. The curriculum draws on essential concepts from the Common Core State Standards across various scientific disciplines. Students will practice strategies to enhance their science vocabulary and ability to interpret a wide array of visual aids and data, ensuring comprehensive understanding across all test sections.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, students will describe genetic diversity, identify cell parts and functions, and explain energy flow through ecosystems. They will gain proficiency in describing models of matter, performing mole calculations, and analyzing Earth’s weather. A significant focus is on practicing strategies to interpret visual aids, identify information within science texts, and describe the relationship between graphs, flowcharts, and text.
