Algebra II

This course helps students build a solid foundation in mathematics by understanding how expressions and functions can model relationships. The course expands arithmetic skills to include corresponding expressions and equations, and applies these concepts to model and solve real-world problems, often with the aid of technology. Students will gain the analytical skills necessary for advanced coursework.

Key Topics

  • Polynomial Functions
  • Radical and Rational Functions
  • Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
  • Trigonometric Functions and Transformations
  • Statistics and Probability

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, students will be able to analyze key features of various functions using multiple representations and apply these functions to solve real-world problems. They will understand the inverse relationship between exponential and logarithmic functions and apply statistical concepts to make inferences from data.

Grade Level

  • High School (Grades 9–10)

Audience

Students who have successfully completed Algebra I and Geometry, students preparing for Pre-Calculus or Calculus, and students who want to develop essential high-level algebraic and analytical reasoning skills.
