Anatomy & Physiology

This course begins with an in-depth introduction to anatomy and physiology, exploring the foundational knowledge of the human body. The curriculum meticulously covers the fundamental building blocks of life, cells, and sensory organs. The course systematically examines the digestive, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems, and concludes by exploring crucial systems that maintain bodily homeostasis, such as the respiratory, urinary, reproductive, endocrine, and lymphatic systems.

Key Topics

  • Cells, Integumentary, and Sensory Organs
  • Digestive and Skeletal Systems
  • Muscular System and Articulations (Joints)
  • Nervous and Circulatory Systems
  • Respiratory and Urinary Systems
  • Reproductive, Endocrine, and Lymphatic Systems

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy and physiology, distinguish between the axial and appendicular skeletons, and describe the structure and function of different muscle types. They will analyze the roles of the nervous and circulatory systems and explain how various crucial systems work together to maintain bodily homeostasis.

Grade Level

  • High School (Grades 9–12)
