AP Literature and Composition
This introductory college-level course develops students’ reading and writing skills through an in-depth study of literature, fulfilling AP English Course Description requirements. Students engage in close reading and analysis of literary works, exploring literary elements and diverse genres and periods. This course provides a rigorous and rewarding experience for students interested in a deeper, more analytical engagement with literature.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion, students will be able to conduct in-depth studies of literary works, accompany readings with thoughtful analysis and writing, and gain experience in the evaluation and interpretation of literature, including critical literary analysis. Students will also be able to effectively use word processing, online research, and communication tools.
