This introductory Career and Technical Education course is designed to equip students with essential software application skills for success in the modern workplace. The curriculum explores essential roles within an organization, alongside developing a strong understanding of professional communication and leadership skills. The course emphasizes digital literacy through web publishing, spreadsheets, and database software, preparing students for professional settings.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will be able to prepare for a business career by recognizing industry standards, workplace culture, and opportunities. They will also apply practical skills to diverse business situations and create, edit, revise, and adapt business-related work according to common conventions, with the option to pursue the Microsoft® Office Specialist: Microsoft® Office Word certification.
