English 7

This course is divided into two main semesters covering fundamental literacy, writing, and communication skills. The curriculum focuses on analyzing a variety of fiction and nonfiction texts, understanding literary elements, and practicing multiple forms of informational and narrative writing. Students will develop crucial skills in grammar, research, and argumentation, ensuring a strong foundation for future academic success.

Learning Outcomes

They will master planning, structuring, and revising both informational and creative/narrative essays, and learn to evaluate credible sources to construct and support a logical argument.

Students entering the 7th grade curriculum, students who need to deepen their reading comprehension and analytical writing skills, and students preparing for the academic demands of advanced middle school Language Arts.
