Spring Academy has been an oasis for our family after a rocky start at public high school. Although traditional schools had always worked well for our daughter, after the pandemic her anxiety and discomfort around school skyrocketed. Every morning became a struggle to get her there, every afternoon a battle over homework, and the stress and arguing were taking a huge toll on our family. Private school was not in our game plan , but we are so thankful we found Spring Academy and decided to give it a try. Knowing we were not locked into a yearlong contract made it so much easier to take that leap, as did the fact that she could remain enrolled at her public school and take only classes she needed more support with in Spring. The teachers and administration at Spring have been incredibly kind, supportive, patient, and accommodating, taking the time to get to know our daughter, her learning style, and her strengths and challenges. The relationships and comfort level she’s built with them have allowed her to open up and reengage with school in a way we hadn’t seen in years, and her academic success has restored her confidence and reignited her desire to learn and continue her education at college. The principal, Andy, is wonderful: warm, compassionate, and super communicative, immediately responsive to e-mails and phone calls, and always available to talk both with her and us . Unlike at her large public school, where we felt like cogs in a very large machine, we all feel incredibly supported at Spring Academy!
